FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why go to a driver improvement at all?
When you receive a ticket, points are assessed on your driving record as a result. Sometimes, you are ordered to attend driver improvement
school by a court of law. Often, this attendance will prevent the ticket from appearing on your official driving record as points. Another
reason to attend a driver improvement school is to become a more responsible driver, lower your chances of being involved in a collision (driver
improvement school is sometimes assigned as part of the penalty associated with drinking and driving), and lower your chances of getting a
ticket.
How quickly can I finish this course?
The course is designed to take the equivalent amount of time as a traditional in-class driver improvement school. The great thing about this
course, however, is that you work at your own pace. No one is sitting over your shoulder making you slow down or speed up. Everyone reads at
different speeds and this program will allow you to proceed at your own pace and there is no time maximum for the program. The average completion
time varies.
How long does it take to get the certificate?
Because of security reasons, it is impossible for you to print your own certificate, so the original certificate must be sent directly from
our office to you. Your certificate will be mailed to you. When you enroll, you may choose for regular mail or expedited service. It is the
driver's responsibility to insure the proper court receives the course completion certificate. Some courts require the students to return the
completion certificate to the court even if the completion is reported by the school providing the course material.
Does the course cost anything?
Unfortunately, there is a cost to attend the driver improvement school.
$80.00will cover all elements of the course including immediate access to the site and the completion certificate. Regular in-class driver improvement
schools charge similar fees. Driver improvement schools are privately operated businesses and whether you sit in a class or choose this online
program, you will need to pay for it.
How can I pay for the course?
You can pay for the course two different ways, either by credit card or by check/money order. After you fill out the registration form, you
can be linked to a completely secure credit card page where you pay quickly and effortlessly. The site is encrypted to make your on-line purchase
safe. The other way to pay for the course is to mail a check or money order to the address listed below. Make sure to send the check before
you complete the course or your certificate will not be mailed.
What if my deadline for completion of driver improvement school has passed?
Contact your court for instructions regarding extension of your due date. NTSI cannot extend your due date.

can even rent time on the Internet at a copy/computer center. Whatever computer you use, you simply need Internet access. You can also start

Must I complete this course in one sitting?
NTSI Traffic Safety Workshop is designed for the person who does not have a lot of time. The course is broken up into sections and you can

as you wish until you complete the program. You can also do the entire course in one sitting.....it is up to you.

Do not worry if you do not have an e-mail address, as one is not needed to take this course. Any correspondence can be directly printed off
the program or be done via mail or telephone. On the registration form under e-mail address, simply click on the no e-mail button, if you do
not have one. Or you may also use a friend's e-mail address if you wish.
I have already enrolled. How do I get back into the program?
If you have already enrolled, you have a username and password. You may re-enter
those codes on our home page where instructed as many times as necessary to
access and complete the program. If you have forgotten or lost your username
or password, give us a call at 888-312-NTSI (6874).
I just got knocked off line in the middle of a section. What do I do now?
Many Internet users are knocked off line frequently. This may result from a lost Internet connection, another call interrupting your connection
if you are on a single line with call waiting, or simply because your own computer crashes. Remember, as you complete each section of the course,
your progress is logged. Completion of chapter one, for example, cannot be lost if your answers are submitted to the system and graded on screen.
Being knocked off line at that point, will only bring you back to the start of the next chapter, it will not delete chapter one. Our website
is unable to control your Internet connection and inactivity on your part will not result in our system knocking you off line. Any activity
requirements will be on the part of your Internet service provider.
I use AOL and I keep getting knocked off line. What should I do?
If you are using AOL as your Internet service provider, you will have activity requirements while online. During some of the longer sections requiring more reading, there is a chance AOL will knock you off-line unless you remain interactive with AOL. Do not leave the screen alone for any great length of time.....remain interactive with the screen.
Which browser do you recommend for best access to the site?
For best access to our site, we recommend using Internet Explorer. The browser is free, and you can easily download it from www.microsoft.com.
Are there any special computer or download requirements to participate in the course?
There are no videos to download in our program and no special requirements at all of your computer. If you are on this screen and on our
website, you can typically enroll and complete the course without a problem.
What happens if I fail the final? Can I take it again?
You may take the final numerous times without having to pay
a retake fee.
